Dubai – UAE-based Facilities Management (FM) solutions company HITEK Services, part of Farnek group, and the Bank of Khartoum (BOK) in Sudan launched a pilot project on April 13th, for the digitalization of the bank’s facilities operations across 140 branches nation-wide.

Working with HITEK’s Khartoum-based partner, Award-winning TAD facilities management company, the pilot will start at BOK’s Khartoum East Sector, according to a press release by Farnek group, obtained by Eye on Business.

The bank will install multiple smart technologies to complement a leaner and more sustainable operational process, to improve productivity, lower cost, and reduce energy consumption.

The solution provided by HITEK digitalises, connects and automates facilities management, using innovative technologies that integrate people, processes, assets and facilities.

Through HITEK’s system, the centralised AI dashboard will provide continuous management and transparency for BOK’s operations, across all 140 sites, HITEK Services Managing Director Javeria Aijaz stated in the press release.

“Given Sudan’s geography, HITEK’s mobility solution will make BOK’s operations more cost-efficient and sustainable. Their unique WhatsApp Chatbot will make it simple to submit and automate support requests. Whether it’s service requests, audits, or management reporting, the mobile solution ensures technicians and supervisors can communicate with each other in real-time, efficiently and effectively,” said Mohamed Abdelhamied, CEO at TAD.

Headquartered in Khartoum, BOK is the largest and oldest bank in Sudan, established in 1913.

Today the bank manages assets worth USD 2 billion, and is partially owned by the Dubai Islamic Bank, holding a 60% share of BOK’s equity.
